Heather has worked in and around the Midlands region for the last 6 years. Starting out as a Project Management Intern at DanceXchange, and devleoping the role into a Programme Officer, she found her passion for Youth Dance, Festival Management, Artist Development and Producing - including supporting the production of Internaional Dance Festival Birmingham 2016. Heather went on to Notttingham Playhouse where she was the Box Office Manager, however after craving the creative side to the Arts Sector, she has returned to the West Midlands - turning her hand back to producing and project management  in the dance industry.

Since working in the dance industry she have worked with, and in partnership with, many artists and organisations nationally and internationally such as DanceXchange, Nottingham Playhouse, Dance 4, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Hippodrome, Mercurial Dance, Sampad & mac.

With a Bachelor's Degree (honours), in Dance from University of Leeds, Heather piloted a perofrmance programme at University, in partnerhsip with Teenage Cancer Trust, to support young people who were dealing with a cancer diagnosis rengage with the Arts. 

Heather is absolutely driven by her love and belief in widening the reach of dance in any context. She is particuarly interested in movement and performance that engages people, and shifts attitudes. Heather sees dance as a facilitator of communication and progession - having worked with a vast variety of dance 'contexts', the outcome or goal remains the same - engage people, make them think and challenge the 'norm'. As an emerging producer, Heather aims to continue to support those artists, audiences and curious people in engaging with dance. 

Heather is skilled in Management across multiple industries, data handling, Communications, Project/ Programme Management, Event Management and producing large scale participatory events and Business development, she has vast experience building and maintaining relationships with partners and key stakeholders both nationally and Internationally.
