Grad-Lab 2017 is an ACE-funded project which will assist dance graduates from the south regions in their career planning and artistic development, and is run by the New Dimensions in Dance Programme at The Point Eastleigh. Grad-Lab is seeking a recent graduate who wants to excel in an administrative role within a dance environment, who will also receive mentoring and professional development opportunities alongside the paid work.
The role is for seven days of paid work, plus two days of shadowing The Point's staff, between June and August 2017.
The Dance Admin / Project Assistant will be expected to assist the in the administrative work for GradLab, lead in marketing activities to promote the work and possibly lead participatory activities as detailed in the still evolving schedule.
While the role can be adapted to the graduate's needs and to his or her own development, it is also expected to include assisting with sharings, documentation of rehearsals and works in progress, and preparing material for the project's evaluation.
