It's good for us all to spend time with each other in real life, so we will be holding a series of events which will be open to the wider producing and artistic community.
These will take the form of:
Regular coworking events
An opportunity for producers and self-producing artists to have a regular space to work together, whether it's to feel less isolated, to have the presence and support of others or to share the pain of funding applications. Details will be confirmed soon.
Round Table Discussion events
We will be holding monthly discussion events on topics related to producing, and to the artist-producer dynamic, and these will be held at The Place and Chisenhale Dance Space in London, with the option of attending online. These will be announced soon.
Producer Counselling Afternoons
We will be offering a dedicated half-day per month where producers and self-producing artists can seek advice on specific topics and address them in a supportive group setting, facilitated by PANDA Director Anne-Marie Crowther and IDMN member Lise Smith. Subject to funding, they will be held on the last Monday of each month near King's Cross, and we will be holding a pilot session on Monday 29 January. Details are here, and people are welcome to attend via Skype if they prefer, and while we prefer participants to stay for the full four hours and to pay a small contribution, participants are not required to do either!
IDMN Comes To You!
As part of a planned research and consultancy project (subject to funding), IDMN will be touring England to meet with producers and artists in each region, and each meeting will be scheduled around other events, such as performances or other activities. We hope to meet you at one of them!
