Tia Hassan, Producer and Arts Manager, operates under her company name Philtre Productions. Over the past 6 years she has worked on a wide range of creative projects in both the commercial and non-commercial sectors. Her particular interest lies in producing and managing live events and artistic/cultural projects. She has a good working knowledge of dance, theatre, music, circus and comedy and increasingly chooses to work with artists, communities and organisations to create inspirational collaborations and multi disciplinary experiences.
As a Producer and Arts Manager, she has 3 main approaches to her work.
1. Idea generation: Devises creative projects, sources collaborators from Creative Directors to funding partners and brings all the elements together to deliver the idea.
2. Responds to briefs: From local authorities to corporate clients – Designs concepts and manages the delivery of these projects/productions.
3. Consultancy: Works closely with a wide range of artists and organizations across dance, theatre and music developing ideas, artist/event management, communications, creative visioning, project planning, business strategy, partnership development and facilitating in the delivery of the creative vision/project.
Tia Hassan is currently producing the Big Dance Bus, works as a Creative Consultant on an outdoor music project for the Greater London Authority, works as a Communication Consultant for East London Dance and as an Ideas Generator for Innovision. She has worked as a Consultant with several dance and theatre artists/companies including Fran Barbe Dance Theatre, Velocet, Avant Garde Dance, Anonymous Ensemble, Beijing Modern Dance Company and Darren Johnston – Array.
