Joanne Peters

Joanne is a producer and development consultant, who specialises in strategic and business development and project management.

From her base in Manchester Joanne provides a range of company management, consultancy, mentoring and training to individuals and organisations. She is interested in developing effective partnerships to deliver key policy agendas and believes in developing flexible, professional and sustainable business models.

Before embarking on a freelance career Joanne worked as Executive Director for Kompany Malakhi and as Diversity and Inclusion officer for Arts Council England, South West as well as working in local authority government and the voluntary sector.

As an independent producer and dance manager she has worked with Angela Praed Dance Company, Asian Arts Agency, State of Emergency and Breaking Cycles as well as producing Decibel PAS11 with Merseyside Dance Initiative. Her current clients include Company Chameleon, and Marc Brew Company.

Joanne is Co-Director of 53°North, a producing partnership with David Morgan. 53°North is dedicated to promoting inspirational and intelligent art from the North West. We have an international outlook and actively seek to change the landscape for dance and theatre in the UK. We work with artists that represent the society that we want to live in. We do this by nurturing creative exploration and building relationships between artists, promoters, and audiences. We offer a full range of project management and mentoring services to support artists from their initial idea to the final performance.

Joanne is an Artistic Assessor for Arts Council England and an executive member of IDMN.
