Elizabeth Mischler is a freelance dance manager and producer, based in London. Following a career as a performer of 13 years, she has moved into facilitating and producing innovative and exciting work throughout the UK and abroad.
Elizabeth is currently company manager and assistant to the director at DV8 Physical Theatre, touring with Lloyd Newson’s latest work Can We Talk About This? which deals with freedom of speech, censorship and Islam.
Until 2011 Elizabeth was producer and general manager of The Mark Bruce Company, located in Frome, Somerset. She managed productions including Sea of Bones, Green Apples and Stars, and produced the company’s 2010 production of Love and War, presented in-the-round.
Elizabeth continues to teach professional level class (companies including DV8, NDC Wales, New Adventures) and has rehearsal directed at National Dance Company Wales.
Elizabeth was a soloist dancer with Ballet Theatre Munich from 1998-2003 in Germany and since moving to the UK has danced with companies including The Mark Bruce Company, Manchester Royal Exchange, Diversions Dance Company Wales, New Adventures in Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake, Jan de Schynkel’s Bark Dance Productions and in various productions at the Royal Opera House and the English National Opera.
Elizabeth grew up in Wisconsin, USA and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Juilliard School in New York.
