Anita Srivastava

Anita Srivastava is an Independent Project Manager, Consultant and the Founder Director of New Dimensions Arts Management which she set up in January 2008 to provide a range of freelance services to arts organisations and individual artists in Project Management, Marketing & PR, Fundraising and General Administration.

Anita has specialist knowledge in South Asian Dance which is underpinned by her deep and broad interest across the dance sector. With over 18 years experience in education and arts sector, she has a proven track record of successfully applying her skills within general and project management areas.

Prior to setting up New Dimensions, Anita worked as the Director of Operations at Kadam, a leading South Asian dance organisation based in the East of England, where she worked for seven years and was involved in strategic planning and successful delivery of its core projects, the International Summer School and Pulse, the specialist Magazine for South Asian dance.

Anita holds a Masters Degree in Management Studies with specialism in Marketing. Anita has been participant of Escalator Leadership Development Programme and other professional development programme including the National Arts Fundraising School at =mc Management Centre.

Anita has worked with a range of clients on a one off, as well as long term projects. Her clients include Akademi, Sampad, DanceXchange, Milapfest (for whom she has managed Dance–India, the International Summer School from 2008 to 2011), ISTD – Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing for its South Asian Dance Faculty, SRISHTI – Nina Rajarani Dance Creations, SBDC – Sujata Banerjee Dance Company, CDC – Chitraleka Dance Company, CICD – Centre for Indian Classical Dance, Pagrav Dance Company and with artist Divya Kasturi.

Anita is currently working as a freelance Consultant and Project Manager for SADA – www.southasiandance.org.uk, an information resource for South Asian dance initiated by Akademi, a cutting-edge, progressive organisation with an international outlook, based in the heart of London. Since 2009 Anita has been working as the Outreach Project Manager with The Centre for Advanced Training for South Asian and Contemporary Dance (CAT), a partnership project between DanceXchange and Sampad. In 2010 Anita helped Bharatanatyam artist Swati Raut set up her dance company ‘Swati Dance Company’, since then she has been working with the company as a Consultant and the Project Manager.
