Tim has played a major role in mentoring artists and training dance managers, both individually, through his own company UKFD, independance and Independent Dance Managers’ Network (in the founding of both of which he was centrally involved), including Farooq Chaudhry (Akram Khan Company), Kerry Andrews (artsdepot Barnet) and Isabel Tamen (Henri Oguike Dance Company). He has lectured and mentored for The Place, Royal Opera House ROH2 (Ballet Black), Dance UK and Swindon Dance.

Tim has served on the boards of London Dance Network, Lisa Ullmann Travelling Scholarship Fund, Independent Dance Managers Network (which he chaired for two years) and East London Dance, lectured commercially in a wide range of subjects and locations for University Vacations Inc. (Miami) and advocated widely on behalf of dance, with a particular emphasis on cultural diversity.
