Yorkshire-born, educated Eton College and Oxford University, Tim started
his career (1982) as stage doorkeeper at Sadler’s Wells, where he learned the business” leaving in 1993 after programming the theatre for 6 years. Since then, Tim has been a freelance dance manager, founding UK Foundation for Dance (UKFD) in 1994, running Marylebone Dance Studio since 1998, training dance managers, promoting and producing a wide range of dance artists/companies, including Pan Project, Shobana Jeyasingh, Bi Ma, Imlata, Sakoba, X Factor, Mavin Khoo, Jacky Lansley and Tavaziva dance companies and individual artists (Mark Baldwin, David Hughes, Liz Lea,
Jean Abreu, Edwin Lung, Irven Lewis and Tobias Tak).

2006 productions included Mayor of London/BBC1 TV’s The Big Dance (Trafalgar Square), J-Art’s Saviour IV (Banqueting House). Antonia Franceschi’s Up From The Waste (Soho Theatre), and Body of Experience (national tour) celebrating the mature performer. Tim project-managed the Cats Royal Gala (1994) for the Dancer’s Trust, Dance Umbrella Galas
(Woking 1999 & Sadler’s Wells 2003) and In 2004-2006 curated three new:currents seasons of culturally-diverse dance for ROH2’s Clore Studio
at the Royal Opera House. Tim has just completed (2008) a consultancy
for six West London boroughs.
