Yorkshire-born, educated Eton College and Oxford University, Tim started his career (1982) as stage doorkeeper at Sadler’s Wells, where he learned the business, leaving in 1993 after programming the theatre for 6 years. Since then, Tim has been a freelance dance manager, founding UK Foundation for Dance (UKFD) in 1994, running Marylebone Dance Studio since 1998, training dance managers, promoting and producing a wide range of dance artists/companies, including Pan Project, Shobana Jeyasingh, Bi Ma, Imlata, Sakoba, X Factor, Mavin Khoo, Jacky Lansley and Tavaziva dance companies, and individual artists (Mark Baldwin, David Hughes, Liz Lea, Jean Abreu, Edwin Lung, Irven Lewis and Tobias Tak).

Tim and UKFD relocated in October 2008 to his home town Scarborough (North Yorkshire), where Tim is now based, returning frequently to London for ongoing management of Marylebone Dance Studio, client work, meetings etc.

Current clients/projects (Summer 2009): London Studio Centre’s Images of Dance, (annual middle-scale ballet tour); 4 UKFD Associate Artists - Saju, Shane Shambhu, Gerrard Martin and Christopher Marney; Autumn 2009 production for Chinese Carib Artslink of Jacqui Chan’s The Jingwei Bird.
