Irene Wernli. Irene is a freelance Performer / Teacher & Agent with a diploma in economics.

Artistic ambitions carried her from one of the smallest places in Switzerland (Asp) to Geneva, where she joined the pré-professional dance course at the Conservatoire de Genève. Villager by birth, cosmopolitan at heart, she moved to London to study Dance and Drama at London Studio Centre, gaining a Dip HE with Distinction in Contemporary Dance. As a performer Irene is drawn to an independent interdisciplinary scene (currently working with Bottlefed Ensemble, Anna Buomomo, Chrome Hoof) but also works in the commercial sector. She regularly teaches Modern Jazz at Central School of Ballet.

Irene met her Agent Gina Long in 2006. She became involved in all areas of the running of the theatrical Agency LongrunArtistes in January 2008. Together with founder Gina they represent around 80 dancers/actors with variable backgrounds. Since 2010 Irene has also worked as a freelance Administrator with Morton Bates Arts Services, assisting on a range of projects of clients including: Heather Eddington/State of Flux; Yael Flexer & Nic Sandiland/Dance & Digital Works; Niki McCretton; Stuff and Nonsense Theatre Company.
